Job description
Requirements:• A High School diploma or its equivalent • 1+ year of relevant job experience as plumber (land or sea)• Marlins English evaluation score of 60 or more.Assistant Plumbers are part of the behind the scenes team who play a vital role in ensuring all of the vessels potable water, technical water, grey water and black water systems are fully functioning. Work in the guest, crew and technical areas around the cruise ship.Assistant Plumbers are part of the behind the scenes team who play a vital role in ensuring all of the vessels potable water, technical water, grey water and black water systems are fully functioning. Work in the guest, crew and technical areas around the cruise ship.Job functions:• Under the supervision of the Chief Plumber performs maintenance and up-keeping of the vessels potable water, technical water, grey water and black water systems. • Cleaning, maintenance and repairs of ancillaries components (pumps, ejectors, level switches, etc.) of black water collecting tanks (evac)• Maintenance and repair of grey water collecting tanks and black water treatment plants ancillaries (Pumps, level switches, air diffusers etc) • Responds to any call for intervention form guest and crew areas• Performs on call duties per the department schedule. • Participated in allsafety drills and trainings• Adheres to all environmental procedures and policies• Any other job assigned by the Chief Plumber or Staff Chief Engineer.
