Chief Engineer
36052.00 GBP/annually
Our client is seeking a permanent Chief Engineer with passenger experience for their tall Sailing Vessel - for global voyages.
Salary based on a 2:1 contact is £36,052
Minimum UK MCA Yacht 4 or SMEOL (Senior Marine Operators Licence) although higher engineering
qualifications would be preferred.
STCW Basic Safety Training (essential)
ENG1 Medical Certificate (essential)
Fluent in English (essential)
DBS Certificate (desirable)
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage a high volume workload in challenging conditions.
Previous experience of working as an Engineer on a sailing vessel is desirable although not essential.
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
All required certificates must be in date to be eligible.
Vessel details:
Gross tonnage: 586 tons
Main engines: 2 x 400 bhp
Generators: 2 X 105 kVA and 1 x 57 kVA
Speed under power: 8 knots
Speed under sail: 10+ knots
Fuel capacity: 37 tonnes
