Chief Engineer Officer is required to join our client’s research vessel on a temporary contract from
5th December 2017. This will include a ten day handover period.
Join: 5th December 2017 at Santa Cruz (Please note travel will depart 1-2 days prior to this start date)
Leave: 2nd February 2018 at Pointe-a-Pitre
Salary: £54,500 per annum, plus 25 days per month accrued leave.
Experience required: Knowledge and experience in the operation of and maintenance of modern engineering plant automated control systems. Knowledge and experience of a diesel and electric engine.
Candidates must have a UK / EU passport and the right to work in the united kingdom
Qualifications
• Certificate of Competency Chief Engineer III/2 (no restriction – Motorships) UK CoC / CEC.
• Seafarer Medical Certificate (ENG1) without restrictions
• STCW basic safety training (Firefighting, Personal survival techniques, Personal safety & social responsibility, Elementary first aid)
• STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
• STCW Advanced Fire Fighting
• Passport with the right to work in the UK
• Discharge
• Shipboard Safety Officer (desirable)
• Designated Security duties
