CREWING COORDINATOR

Location: Poole / Jersey / Guernsey / Portsmouth
Reports To: Crewing Manager
Experience required: Previous employment in a Crewing / Personnel / HR background is desirable
Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday with OOHs work, as and when required.
Salary: £20,700.00 per annum
Leave: 20 days leave per annum plus bank holidays
Benefits: Concessionary travel on company ferries

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and hold a British / EU passport or unrestricted work visa.



Duties
To ensure crewing department is supported on a day to day basis including crew logistics, travel and accommodation.


Key Responsibilities

• To ensure all areas are safe to work in at all times and identify and communicate risks to the Operations Manager.

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses.


• To liaise with Crewing Manager or Operations Manager with regards to ad-hoc crewing requirements.

• To be on an on-call basis of call for 7 days one in three weeks on a rostered basis.

• To cover the Crewing department during periods of leave.

• To conduct drug and alcohol testing for shore based locations.

• To publish monthly crew related rosters and circulate to appropriate vessels/individuals.

• To act as sole point of contact for all crew travel requirements

• To establish and maintain a Company Crew Travel Policy complying with business requirements.

• Making bookings in a timely manner and in accordance with all company procedures

• To log details of all vehicles hired for crew transport via database and to forward this information to Group Insurance Manager and Marine Director.

• To hire vehicles for crew use and action all related administration.

• To ensure all vehicles are issued with a fuel account card specific to that vehicle.

• To enter drug and alcohol testing results into Share-point.

• To ensure all paperwork relating to the uniform store is completed correctly and on time.

• To manage the property leases and tenancy maintenance issues and be the main point of contact for either Condor personnel or the letting agent/landlord and furnish where appropriate.

• To book hotel accommodation for personnel should it be necessary.
